Yummy food and play time

When Luke was about 5 months old, started to feed him food. We started with the rice cereal, then carrots, peas, and sweet potatoes.

We have had a couple of pretty days lately, so we took Luke outside and put him in his swing. Also he love his exercaucer.

Stats!!

Today Luke went to the doctor for his 4 month well check. When we got there, I put him on the table and he just talked to the little boy in the mirror. It was so cute. Then he got weighed and height taken. He is 14.4 lbs and 26 1/4 inches long. He is long and lean. Then the doctor came in and Luke carried on a conversation with him. :) When the doctor laid him on the table, he rolled over from his back to his stomach for the first time. I was quite shocked and happy. After we talked for about 10 minutes, the nurse came in and Luke got 3 shots. I wish I could say that he was a trooper but he screamed bloody murder until I got him out to the car. I stayed home with him today and he has been rather fussy. Right now as I write this, he is sound asleep and snoozing away... :)

I wonder what year 27 will bring...

Two things that I can be certain of are: a new baby and finally starting the nursing program. Other than that I have know idea.

I remember laying in bed with steven the night of my 26th birthday and saying to him "I would love to be pregnant sometime when I'm 26." Who knew that I would be just about the whole year. The 26th year of my life will be a year to remember. Steven and I found out that we were pregnant, I found out that I got into nursing school, and we bought our first house. Needless to say, I apparently like to cram everything in all at once and make life interesting.

This next year will consist of adjusting to being a mom(oh that's weird to say)and studying all the time for the nursing program...ugh. Hopefully other fun surprises will continue to pop up all around us. :) All I know is that I want to be in the Lord's will and follow his directions. Then nothing else will matter.

Goodbye 26 :(
Hello 27!!

My love!!!

Today Steven and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary! It's crazy to think that we have been married for 2 years already. Where has the time gone? Steven is a perfect match for me. We compliment each other so well. He makes me laugh. He says I love you thru the window. He says sweet dreams every night. I love our traditions that no one else would understand. He always tells me i'm pretty even when I think I look like crap. He comforts me and even knows when to leave alone. I love his "woahhssah" sounds ;).
Who knew that two years ago that we would be having a kid in a few short weeks. He reassures me that everything will be ok. I'm scared to death but he seems very calm about the whole thing. Even though i know, he keeps telling me to have faith in God and he will take care of our needs. As I was driving to work this morning, I was talking to Luke and told him that he would be planning a 50th for us in a 48 years and I hope he could handle that :).

I love you Steven with all my heart!!!!

7 more to go!!!

Week and Day: 33 weeks

Belly button in or out: in and I dont know if it will ever pop out

Wedding rings on or off: on still no change

Food cravings: Ice cream please. I eat a bowl every night before I go to bed.

Food aversion: Still no aversions

Nausea: No nausea

Energy level: I have had a cold for the past week so I have not been able to sleep very well due to coughing all night long...ugh. I'm keeping Steven awake as well so we are both pretty tired.

Weight gain: At my last drs appt (July 15th), I was up to 19lbs. WOW! I know it's for a good (or shall I say GREAT) cause but i'm probably going to gain about 25lbs and that just freaks me out.

Mood: I'm starting to get a lot of anxiety. I asked Steven last night if he was ready for this, you know like he has a choice, and he said yes. So I guess that's reassuring but I'm still freaking out about the whole thing. Sometimes I dont feel like i'm old enough to be doing this.

Maternity clothes: I finally had to give up the pair of pants that I was holding onto. But the shirts are still normal shirts.

Size of the baby: Luke is the size of a papaya. He is now on average about 4lbs (crazy).

Changes in baby: Luke is getting the hiccups more and more these days. If this is a sign of him growing then he will be 10ft tall when he comes out b/c he has them ALL the time. :)

Things I miss: sleep SLEEP and S.L.E.E.P.

Things I look forward to: getting his room complete

Other: I'm now 8 months!! It feels like yesterday we were telling people we are pregnant.
